Even after such a disaster, with thousands of victims, the imperialist interventions and the embargo on Syria, make any act of solidarity and support for the Syrian people, who are in dire need of humanitarian aid, extremely difficult.

As New Left Current (NAR) and Communist Liberation Youth (nKA) we express our solidarity with the Turkish, Syrian and Kurdish people, with the earthquake victims, who apart from internationalist aid and the solidarity among the peoples, have nothing to expect from any government.

While NATO member states, one after another, are making decisions on "extraordinary" shipments of arms and military equipment to Ukraine, they are blocking the sending of humanitarian aid to Syria.

We demand the immediate lifting of the embargo and all obstacles that make it impossible to support the Syrian people. With trade unions, left-wing and communist organisations and solidarity networks, we are working to ensure effective ways of support and acts of solidarity.
